Before proceeding, please note that you should have a genuinely activated Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 in order to opt in for Free Windows 10 Update. If you have an activated version of Windows, then let’s move ahead with the Tutorial!

How To Opt In for Free Windows 10 Update:

Step 1: First of all, if your system is running Windows 7, then you should make sure that you have installed Service Pack 1 in your windows. And if your system is on Windows 8, then you should have the 8.1 Update installed. If you have enabled automatic updates for Windows, then this update most probably would have already been installed in your windows. If not, then you can download the update from here. This Update is labelled as KB3035583 and it was rolled out around March, 2015.

Step 2: After you’ve successfully installed the March Update, you’ll see a new Windows Icon on the right side of your task bar saying “Get Windows 10”. Click on it to proceed. See the Image below if you cannot find that icon!

Step 3: After you click that icon, a new Window will pop up showing you different screens. Skip till the end where it asks you to enter your Email address. Once you’re there, Enter your Email Address and make sure that it is a valid one.

Step 4 After entering your Email Address, click “Send Confirmation” and you’re done!
