Many users have complained about the problem that even though connecting iphones to their PC was never a problem but when they change their to a newer version, the itunes in their PC is not detecting their phone even though their previous version had no problem connecting in .

If you are facing similar problem following are the solutions which you can try.

Fix to iPhone/iPod/iPad not detected in Windows 10

Method 1 of 2

Restart your PC once

If this is the first time you are facing this problem that your PC running 10 is not detecting any of your product in itunes then simply try restarting your PC once.

Method 2 of 2

Update the driver

Step 1: Make sure that you are using the latest version of itunes.

Step 2: Connect your Apple device to your PC using the official cable.

Step 3: Open Control Panel.

Step 4: Click on Devices and Printers.

Your device should now appear in the unspecified section.

Step 5: Right-click on your device and click on properties.

Step 6: Go under the Hardware tab and click on properties on the bottom of the dialogue.

Step 7: Now in the General tab, click on Change settings again on the bottom of the dialogue.

Step 8: Now go to the Driver tab and click on Driver.

Step 9: Click the second option labelled Browse my computer for driver software and then navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers folder. And if you’re on Windows 10 x64, you need to browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.

NOTE: If you can’t see the Drivers folder, select Mobile Device Support folder, and then make sure that the option labelled Include subfolders is selected.

Step 10: Now click Next button and once the driver is updated, click Close and your itunes should now be detecting your devices without any problems.
